Every B.E. programme at JCET follows the choice-based credit system and curriculum prescribed by Anna University, Chennai. The programme is spread over eight semesters.

| Semesters 1 – 2 | Foundation courses: Engineering Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English / communication, Problem Solving and Programming, Engineering Graphics, basic engineering and workshop practice. |
| Semesters 3 – 4 | Core courses of the chosen branch, mathematics for the discipline, and laboratory courses. |
| Semesters 5 – 6 | Advanced core courses, professional electives, open electives and mini projects. |
| Semesters 7 – 8 | Professional electives, industrial training / internship and the final-year project work with viva voce. |
Assessment
Each theory course is evaluated through continuous internal assessment and an end-semester examination conducted by Anna University. Laboratory courses are evaluated through regular record work and practical examinations.

- B.E. Civil Engineering – Planning, design and construction of buildings, roads, bridges, water supply and environmental systems.
- B.E. Mechanical Engineering – Design, manufacturing, thermal and fluid systems, machines and automation.
- B.E. Electrical and Electronics Engineering – Power generation, transmission, electrical machines, power electronics and control systems.
- B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering – Electronic devices and circuits, communication systems, signal processing, VLSI and embedded systems.
- B.E. Computer Science and Engineering – Programming, data structures, algorithms, databases, networks, operating systems and software engineering.
