Mechanical Engineering Department of JCET was established during the year 2012 when the JCET started functioning with the intake of 60 students and with the annual intake of 120 students from the very next year 2013. The Mechanical Engineering course is approved by the AICTE, New Delhi, and affiliated to the Anna University Chennai.
Department of Mechanical Engineering fully equipped with the Laboratory requirements to fulfill the course curriculum as prescribed by the Anna University. Presently the Mechanical Engineering Department attached with the following Laboratories and Workshops:
